Kizomba is a couple dance, which was born in Angola in 1990's. African rythms, simple steps, lovely, fun, pleasant music makes Kizomba very popular in many countries all over the world. The dance itself is sensual and soft. Kizomba is a dance for everyone - no matter how old you are. Before Kizomba angolan people danced fun, playful, very energetic Semba. But famous group Kassav, from Carribean region, came to Angola and played some nice Zouk music. Angolan people loved the Zouk rythm and borrowed it. They started to adapt semba dance to new music (Mix of Semba and Zouk rythm), which later was called Kizomba.
